Battle of the Better Half is a native iOS game for partners. Rate household and life skills, compare scores, earn badges, create challenges, and play pass-and-play on a single phone. Pro unlocks extra features, and an optional Spicy mode is available after an 18+ confirmation. The app is published by Ryan Wentzel.

Restoring Pro purchases

If you previously subscribed to Pro and it is not active on a device, use the "Restore Purchases" option in the app while signed in to the same Apple Account you used to buy. Pro entitlements are tied to your Apple Account through Apple StoreKit.

Managing or canceling subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. To view, change, or cancel a subscription, open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions — or visit Apple’s subscription settings. Cancellation and refund requests are handled by Apple.

Using pass-and-play on one phone

Pass-and-play lets both partners use a single phone — enter both names, then hand the device back and forth as you rate skills and take turns. No second device or account is required to play this way.

Spicy mode requires both Pro and an 18+ confirmation

Spicy mode is double-gated: it appears only when you have an active Pro subscription and have completed the in-app 18+ confirmation. The 18+ confirmation is an in-app preference to unlock optional content — it is not identity or formal age verification. If Spicy mode is hidden, check that Pro is active and that the 18+ confirmation has been completed.

Notifications are optional

Notifications are off unless you opt in. When enabled, the app may send local reminders for challenges, coupon updates, challenge wins, and redemptions. You can turn them on or off at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications.

iCloud / partner sync troubleshooting

Partner sync uses Apple iCloud/CloudKit. If data is not appearing across devices, confirm that both devices are signed in to iCloud, that iCloud Drive and iCloud for this app are enabled in iOS Settings, and that the devices have a network connection. Sync is associated with your Apple Account, not a ryanwentzel.me or wentzel.ai account.

Deleting app data

Most data is stored on your device. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. If you enabled iCloud sync, remove synced data within the app and/or manage this app’s data in your device’s iCloud settings. Subscription records are managed by Apple.

Purchases and subscriptions

All purchases and subscriptions in Battle of the Better Half are handled through Apple. Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are managed by Apple under Apple’s terms.
